Merge Markdown
Concatenate multiple Markdown files in order, with a file-name comment and divider between them.
This tool does not upload your files. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
Stitching split chapters back together
Long documents rarely stay in one file. A book gets a file per chapter, an export tool writes one file per section, and a conversion job leaves a folder of fragments. Searching across twenty files, or handing them to a model that takes one input, means joining them first.
Files are joined in the order you arrange them, each part introduced by a comment naming the file it came from and closed with a divider line. Nothing is rewritten in the process: heading levels are left exactly as they were, so two chapters that both start at the top level stay that way, and duplicate titles are not collapsed. Markdown and plain text files can be mixed in the same run, and at least two files are needed.
There is no table of contents and no duplicate detection, which keeps the output predictable and easy to correct by hand. If the parts came from a PDF conversion, their page markers survive the merge.
