Crop PDF
Drag an area on the preview to crop the visible region of all or selected pages.
This tool does not upload your files. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
Trimming the margins off a scan
Book scans usually catch a strip of the facing page. Slide decks exported to PDF come with wide empty bands. A document photographed on a desk has the desk in it. On a phone screen most of the display then goes to white space, and the text is too small to read without pinching.
Drag a rectangle over the preview to mark what to keep, and apply it to every page or to a range. The same rectangle is used for each selected page, so this works well when the pages line up consistently and badly when a hand-fed scan drifts from page to page. Use a range and repeat the crop for sections that differ.
Cropping sets the page's crop box, which means the content outside it is hidden rather than removed. Anyone who opens the file in an editor can reset the box and see it again, so never crop as a way of hiding confidential material. For that the content has to be genuinely gone, and this tool does not do that.
