A business card people actually save
Paper cards get typed into a phone wrongly, or more often not at all, and end up in a drawer. A code on the card, on a conference badge or at the end of an email signature puts the details straight into the other person's contacts while you are still standing there.
A name is required and everything else is optional: phone, email, organisation, job title, website and address. Each field you add makes the grid denser and harder to scan, so include what someone genuinely needs rather than everything you have. Print it large enough and leave the white border around it alone, because scanners rely on it.
The contact details are encoded in the image itself rather than stored on a server, so the code works offline, tracks nothing and never expires. The same property means it cannot be updated once printed: a new phone number needs a new code. Use the SVG for anything going to print and the PNG for screens.

Frequently asked questions
- Are non-Latin names supported?
- Yes. The code uses vCard 3.0 in UTF-8, so Korean, Japanese and other scripts work.
- The code gets very dense with lots of fields.
- vCards are long text, so modules get small. Keep to essential fields and print at 3 cm or larger.
- Is my information stored?
- No. The image is generated in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
- Can I add a logo or change the colours?
- Yes. Pick the code and background colours and place a logo image in the centre. A logo locks error correction to H, so test-scan before printing.
